Biography

Don Chamberlin is the CEO and Co-founder of Chamberlin, a full-service advisory firm that has served more than 5,000 families nationally from its homebase in St. Louis, Missouri.

A devoted advisor with more than 40 years of experience, Don founded Chamberlin with his wife Susie in January 2002, after the market collapsed two years in a row for the first time in his career. As the son of one of the first Certified Financial Planners® in the country, Don left his job managing 50 brokers at an investment firm to find a better way. He received training from renowned tax guru Ed Slott and earned the status of Master Elite IRA Advisor. He has since passed this knowledge down to the advisors at Chamberlin, incorporating tax planning into their holistic model, which includes the Wells of Wealth and the seven pillars of retirement. Don has dedicated his career to educating Americans about how to take control of their finances, conducting hundreds educational classes in libraries and colleges throughout Missouri, Illinois, Michigan, and Florida. Today, the Chamberlin Group has a team of holistic Retirement Planners and Retirement Educators who are trained and knowledgeable about a broad range of financial services, held to the fiduciary standard, and dedicated to helping you prepare for retirement as if you were one of the family.

A member of the National Association of Tax Professionals (NATP), the Financial Planning Association (FPA), and the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT), Don has been recognized for his knowledge and dedication, including the distinct honor of being part of MDRT’s elite group, “Top of the Table,” in recognition of service and accomplishments six times greater than the standard MDRT level. His firm has also received several awards, including being named to the prestigious Inc. 5000 in 2025, an annual list of the fastest growing companies in America, and a two-time winner of the coveted Better Business Bureau Torch Award for community service and ethics. Over the years, he has created a truly family-oriented firm, and many of his family members work alongside him, including his wife of over 40 years. Don believes in giving back to the industry that has meant so much to his family and is also heavily involved in the continued education and success of other advisors. He happily welcomes financial advisors from all parts of the country to the Chamberlin offices to learn the best practices employed by his firm.

In 2005, Don started the Chamberlin Gives Back Program, a team of volunteers that include former students who, over the years, have served alongside Habitat for Humanity, United Way, MS Society, Honor Flight, Toys 4 Tots, and many national and local charities. A big believer in giving back to the community, Don has personally volunteered for eight Honor Flights since 2012, supporting veterans by serving as their flight guardian, ensuring a memorable and safe trip to the memorials of Washington D.C. He is also a contributor to Soles4Souls and KidSmart. His current project is the National Memorial of Military Ascent (NMMA) of which he is its treasurer (www.graftonmemorial.com).

When not with his Chamberlin family or out in the field teaching classes, Don can be found with his wife, Susie, attending baseball games, visiting top historical destinations, and going to theme parks with their three grandsons.
